Now sending instant messages on WhatsApp will be expensive, account will be closed.
New Delhi: WhatsApp,
the world's largest instant messaging service provider, has taken a big
decision against those sending messages in bulk. WhatsApp will now close the
accounts of people who send messages everyday in bulk. Also, the company can
take legal action against such people.
A statement from
WhatsApp said, 'Starting December 7, 2019, WhatsApp will take legal action
against those who violate our terms of service or are misusing this platform
based on our rules. For example, action will be taken against non-personal
users of automated messages, bulk messages or apps, even if action is taken
only on the basis of the information we have. ' According to the company, there
are many businesses that try to cheat the machine learning system of WhatsApp
and it is helpful in continuing its misuse. Earlier this year, WhatsApp had
sent notices to several companies, which were preparing or operating clones and
software similar to WhatsApp. This is a major step taken by WhatsApp and the company
is trying to prevent fake information from spreading on the platform, at least
with the help of bulk messages.
Sending 100 messages
within 15 seconds will be deemed guilty and account will be closed.
WhatsApp has said
that if 100 messages are sent from an account within 15 seconds, then that
account will be considered guilty of bulk message and its account will be
closed. Also, if messages are sent to a lot of people after 5 minutes of
account creation, then the company will take action against it. At the same
time, the company will also close those accounts which have been created some
time ago and dozens of groups are being created continuously from that account.
For example, if you create a WhatsApp account and immediately create many
groups and add many people to it, the company can close your account.
