Stock market continues to gain after opening with rise.
New Delhi: The stock
market opened sharply on the first day of the week. The 30-share Sensex gained
111 points to 41,686 points and the 50-share Nifty opened 29 points higher at
12,275. The market is booming in early trade.
At 9.48 am, the
Sensex is trading at 41700 points with a gain of 125 points. 22 of the 30
stocks are trading in the green zone. Currently, shares of ITC, M&M, HDFC
Bank and Kotak Bank are top gainers and the shares of Reliance, Tata Steel and
SBI are top losers.
The Nifty is trading
at 12282 with a gain of 36 points at 9.51 am. 36 stocks are trading upside and
13 stocks are down. ITC, M&M, Adani Port, Aich Motors and HDFC Bank are the
top gainers, while Reliance, Tata Steel, SBI, JSW Steel and Coal India have top
shares. There are losers.
